Agggh Ivy League Risk has fried my brain. Anyway, this is some more TP!Zelink for Kotukawi aka The Missing Link for ~zeldaexchange. Uhh I wanted something vaguely angsty so I thought, well what's better than if they're separated?! HUH? Exactly. But yeah I spent most of the first half of October working on this... it's probably the most effort I've ever put into a background, heh.
Also yes the title is modified from William Faulkner's As I Lay Dying, a book which holds nothing but bad memories for me, but it sounds pretty so nyeh.
Done with a tablet in Photoshop CS.

Colored House will be up within the month (I hope), and then there's always HP, Zelda, and a tiny bit of Disney (haha oh man, kiriban) on the backburner. Rawr.
Also, because I worked on this at such a giant size, I'll be uploading some detail shots. Uh, eventually.
And in Zelda-related news, Reggie Fils-Aime is coming to Cornell to speak tomorrow, and hellz yeah I'm gonna be there!
The work on the background shows! The picture is lovely~ Love the cleanness of your lines and coloring. Zelda's robe looks awesome! Man, ~zeldaexchange has so many great artists.
This is absolutely stunning ~ I'm so proud that you've used the grass from my local park ~ you've done a fantastic job ~ I've added your artwork to my journal, here [link]

Oooooh, very nice! I can see all the effort you put into the illustration, especially the background. I wouldn't have the patience to do background that complicated. Also, really awesome coloring for both sides. You should be very proud of yourself because this is one of your best pieces so far.
I don't remember reading As I Lay Dying, but I did read The Sound and the Fury. Holy cow, that was a big pain to read and it took me two tries before I finally understood what's going on. The teacher didn't bother to tell us about the time jumps and the main character is not a normal protagonist.
